25-year-old stabs man to death
A 25-year-old man, Kabiru Lasisi, has been
arraigned before an Ebute Meta Magistrate's
Court, Lagos State, for the alleged murder of
one Abdulrazak Haruna.
Lasisi was said to have killed Haruna by
stabbing him on the neck with a knife
during a fight.
The incident occurred in July 2013 at Ajah
area of the state.
The charge read, "That you, Kabiru Lasisi, m,
on the 30th day of July, 2013, at 1200hours
at Twins Faj Nigeria Limited, Farapark, Ajah,
Lagos, in the Lagos Magisterial District did
unlawfully kill one Abdulrazak Haruna,m,
aged 22 years, by stabbing him on the neck
with a short knife."
The prosecutor, Inspector Richard Odige,
said the offence was contrary to Section 221
of the Criminal Laws of Lagos State.
The Magistrate, Ms S.O Solebo, remanded
Lasisi in the Ikoyi Prison.
She said, "In accordance with Section 264 of
the Administration of Criminal Justice Law of
Lagos State, the defendant is remanded for
the next 30 days, pending the Director of
Public Prosecution's advice."
The matter was adjourned till September 16.
